Why we don’t celebrate our independent daughters? Why we have to look towards it with a sympathetic point of view? what is wrong in appreciating them for not waiting for someone to save them? Why do we ridicule their freedom and always trying to sabotage their self-confidence by shaming them for becoming an outspoken individual?
My makeup is not an indication that I am interested in attracting men, it means, I feel confident. Roaming around in a sweatshirt and not caring if I look Ugly to you or I am less attractive, It means, I still feel nice being relaxed in my own way. (Apparently, minding my own business).
Setting up norms where girls are only prepared for is sacrifice, compromise, and adjustments or into mindless beautiful creatures all in the name of love and care is not an ideal design for everyone.
What if they refuse to live upon your approval or your ideal standards? they don’t become less of a woman or less of a human being. They are still strong, independent, intelligent, attractive, and bold women. Their face or body may not reflect the glamorous image of your beauty standards. But it will surely reflect the pain she has endured and the way she has refused to give up on her dreams — fighting every battle alone.
